> *"I'm fascinated by climate tech. It addresses a huge problem, but it also represents a huge opportunity." - Ben*

My journey into this space started in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many, I found myself at home with plenty of time on my hands, casually browsing the internet. By 2021, I started to notice the growing prominence of the words "climate" and "tech" and felt compelled to explore further. That’s when I discovered several communities passionate about climate tech and actively working to build solutions ([Work on Climate](https://workonclimate.org/?ref=chrisalafaa.com), [Climate Action Tech](https://climateaction.tech/?ref=chrisalafaa.com), [My Climate Journey](https://mcj.vc/?ref=chrisalafaa.com), etc).

Clubhouse sessions, particularly those hosted by the Climate Tech Club, founded by [Neil Yeoh](https://www.linkedin.com/in/neilyeoh/?ref=chrisalafaa.com), [Kayalin Akens-Irby](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kayalinakensirby/?ref=chrisalafaa.com), and [Chante Harris](https://www.linkedin.com/in/chanteharris/?ref=chrisalafaa.com) became instrumental in shaping my understanding and enthusiasm for climate tech.

Now, four years in, my path in climate tech has been nothing short of amazing. While I still feel there's much more to accomplish, I see the signs that I'm heading in the right direction.

I started this blog as a way to learn by doing. You’re welcome to join me and let’s see where it takes us!

P.S. Thanks to [Ugochukwu (Kingsley) Umenwa](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ugoumenwa/?ref=chrisalafaa.com) for helping me get this blog up and running.
